I know we're already a few days into August, and this month's Memory Verse Challenge is coming to you later than I planned. (Anyone else feel like summer sped up these past couple weeks? 😅)

🌿 August's Theme: Jesus' Welcome Call

This month in the Hearts & Minds Curriculum, we're focusing on the beautiful truth that Jesus wants us all in His family. His heart is gentle and full of compassion -- and He invites us to draw near to Him and walk in the way He teaches.

It's a message our kids (and us) need to hear over and over again: You are deeply loved by Jesus. You are made on purpose. And His way is best!

🧠 August Memory Verses

For Kids:

📖 "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden." - Matthew 11:28a

This simple, tender verse reassures little hearts that Jesus is the safe place.

For Parents:

📖 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” - Matthew 11:28-30

These verses give a better picture of Jesus' invitation -- not just to rest, but to learn from Him and walk in His wisdom, grace, and truth. He meets us with love, but we must do the changing in our hearts.
