Fathers are built differently -- and we thank God for that 💛

Weekly Dose of Kinder and Kindness

Hello Mama,

Fathers are built differently… and let’s thank God for that!

From the big picture to the small daily moments, our husbands and fathers bring strength, creativity, and a whole lot of humor to our homes — even when they do things totally differently than we would. 😅

But the truth is: that difference is part of God’s design.

All throughout Scripture, God gives us examples of imperfect but faithful fathers:

  • Abraham, who led his family by trusting God completely — even when it made no earthly sense.
  • Noah, who followed God's instructions to the letter while surrounded by evil.
  • David, a man after God’s own heart, who loved deeply and ran to God when he sinned.
  • Joseph, who protected and cared for Jesus, the Son of God, though He wasn’t his own by blood.
  • The father of the prodigal son, who mirrors our Heavenly Father’s love — welcoming his child home with open arms and forgiveness.

Each of these men and others show us something powerful: God can use imperfect fathers to do Kingdom work.

And while all earthly fathers fall short in some way, our Heavenly Father is perfect — rich in compassion, full of wisdom, generous in love, and unshakable in His guidance. We see His love woven through every page of Scripture.

This Father’s Day, I’m praying that the dads in our homes will lead, protect, and love our children with God as their guide.

“But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”
— Joshua 24:15b

Let’s keep praying for them, encouraging them, and loving them… even when they do things differently than we would (hello, creative nap time choices and unconventional ponytails 🙃).

Praying for you,

Susan @ Your Kinder Source
