Hello Mama,
November is here - a month that reminds us to slow down, notice God's goodness, and help those around us. Our Memory Verse Challenge this month is one that helps both kids and parents remember that gratitude isn't just for the good days - it's for all circumstances.
๐ Child's Verse:
"Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you" - 1 Thessalonians 5:18
๐ Parent's Verse:
"See that no one repays anyone with evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.โ โ 1 Thessalonians 5:15โ18
This month's theme is "Grateful Hearts and Helping Hands" - and what a beautiful time to practice it! Encourage your child to find little ways to show gratitude and lend a helping hand - picking up toys for a sibling, helping bake goodies for a neighbor, or thanking God before meals.
โจ Remember, "in all circumstances" means even when things aren't going our way. Those are the moments our children learn what true thankfulness looks like. It may feel like you are bragging but telling and/or showing your child how you are helping others is a great example for them to see a Grateful Heart and Helping Hands in action.
