Monday was World Sea Turtle Day — and if you know me, you know I LOVE sea turtles! 🐢 Just take a look at the logo 😉
I have a small but special collection that started with a few figurines from my Grammy. Over the years, I’ve added to it through my travels and sweet gifts from loved ones. When we built our pool, I even requested a sea turtle design in the pool — that’s how much I adore them!
Our pool
Why sea turtles? Because they remind me of longevity, wisdom, and resilience. They play the long game, and as a Mama of little ones, that’s exactly what I want to do.
It’s easy to get caught in the whirlwind of daily tasks — laundry, dishes, teaching, tantrums — and forget that we’re doing Kingdom work. I want to raise children who grow to be strong, faithful workers for God. But I need reminders (maybe you do too?) to live with the end in mind, not just the moment.
So this week, I’m meditating on a few Scriptures that refocus my heart — verses that lift my eyes from the mess and onto the mission:
📖 1 Corinthians 15:58 “Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.”
📖 Romans 12:12 “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.”
📖 Proverbs 1:7 “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
Let’s keep swimming, slow and steady — with purpose, patience, and prayer.
